U.S. Department of Transportation Presents: Women In Transportation Initiative Event

The Women In Transportation Initiative (WITI), based on a successful pilot at Spelman College in Atlanta in 2009, is part of a broader effort led by the White House to ensure that federal programs and policies take into account the distinct needs and concerns of women and girls.

They will be hosting an event that features a keynote speaker during lunch who's entrepreneurial experience exemplifies the impact of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).  This discussion, rooted in the importance of STEM, will speak to the career & business opportunities that exist in the Transportation Industry.
Come and connect with Federal, State and local government officials as well as large prime contractors seeking to contract with small businesses on a One-on-One basis at Contract Connections.

For more information on the WITI program, or other questions, please contact the Mid-Atlantic U.S. DOT OSDBU at 202-656-6040.

The event is FREE. You may sign up at this link: https://usdotwitiamexopen.eventbrite.com
